Maria May was elected to the Town Council in 2019. She earned her PhD in Education and has been a resident of the Southfields Hamlet in Tuxedo for the past 10 years. Maria is a public school educator and a Literacy Specialist. As a member of the Central Hudson Region PTA Board and a volunteer for the Suffern Central Advocacy Committee, Maria knows the value of constructive communication, working with elected officials in a non-partisan way and reaching consensus among community stakeholders
