Zoning Board of Appeals Applicants:

Candidates with experience in municipal zoning, architectural design, historic preservation, building renovation, construction, surveying or other related skills are preferred.  Applicants must be 18 years of age, a Town or Village resident and a US citizen. The Zoning Board of Appeals hears appeals from the Town Code or decisions of the Building Enforcement Officer, evaluates requests for interpretations of the Zoning regulations and approves or denies area (dimensional) and use variances. A variance granted by the ZBA allows a resident to deviate from the Town Code. The ZBA evaluates variances with consideration for the health, safety, welfare and character of the surrounding community and grants the most minimal requirements if a variance is granted at all.
